Crafting a new vision
The primary goal of this project was to craft a new vision by introducing new colors, typography, and flow to the site. These new elements would help bring So What Else’s mission to life. Over the course of this project, I worked closely with the communications director to understand the mission and goals. Additionally, I conducted an audit of the existing website and created a strategy that would make it easy for volunteers and donors to make an impact.
Organizing content
So What Else's services are 100% driven by community involvement, but the existing site was difficult for individuals to navigate and ultimately take action. I focused on restructuring the pages on the site to provide a clear path for users and ensure their journey to get involved was effortless.

Wireframes
Wireframes came in handy when communicating the overall layout and structure. The typography paired with the image blocks gave a more accurate representation of how the website would look and showed how certain components would function. While creating these wireframes, my main focus was ensuring that each page was easy to scan and had clear direction.
Visual identity
So What Else wanted their website to be fun and informative. I updated the color palette to include vibrant colors and introduced a new typeface called Museo Sans, a bold font that is welcoming and easy to read. Creating a fresh identity would add to the So What Else story and overall flow of the site.
Moodboard
I put together a moodboard for inspiration and included authentic imagery representing the So What Else brand and the programs they offer.
Final designs
The new vision for the So What Else website provides an inside look into how So What Else makes an impact on youth while providing a clear call to action for potential donors and volunteers. The donate button is easily accessible as it is part of the main navigation. The new layout, mixed with bright colors and dynamic photography, brings the story to life and inspires individuals to give back to their community.
